Club House is a design proposal for a family home set upon an former golf course. The site is steeply sloped towards a man made lake with views overlooking a small pavilion and boat house.
The proposal had a theatrical conception, lead by the clients professions, resulting in a series of spaces centered around the notion of ‘hide-&-reveal’. For example, the front facade consists of a series of blank overlapping planes of masonry concealing the entrances to the dwelling, but once behind these planes, the grandeur of the large entrance and views through to the lake beyond reveal themselves.
Meandering through the interior of the house exposes many more hidden moments, all the while sharing uninterupted views across the flowing grounds and the Buckinghamshire landscape.
